Mute
Silently hide an account's posts from your feed without unfollowing them.
In depth
Muting is a one-way action — the muted user is not notified and can still reply, like, and DM you. You just don't see their content in your timeline or notifications.
Mute is the polite alternative to unfollowing for accounts you don't want to see but don't want to publicly snub. You can also mute words, phrases, and hashtags, which is the most underused way to keep your feed clean.
