Conversation rate is replies divided by impressions. It's the engagement signal the X algorithm weights heaviest, because replies indicate the post earned active participation rather than passive consumption.
Healthy conversation rates run 0.1-0.5% for general content and clear 1% for genuinely contrarian or question-format posts. Posts above 2% conversation rate consistently get the strongest algorithmic distribution boosts.
