Click-through rate (CTR)
Also known as: CTR
The percentage of impressions that resulted in a click on the tweet (link, profile, or detail expansion).
In depth
CTR is the highest-leverage metric for any tweet with a conversion goal. A tweet with 100,000 impressions and a 0.1% CTR sends 100 visitors. The same tweet with a 2% CTR sends 2,000.
Hooks, specificity, and calls-to-action drive CTR. Vague tweets have CTRs near zero; concrete, specific tweets with clear next steps clear 1% comfortably.
