Dwell time
How long a user spends looking at your tweet before scrolling past.
In depth
Dwell time is one of the strongest positive signals in the X algorithm. It's why threads and long-form posts get reach advantages — they pull more dwell time per impression.
X doesn't publish dwell time on the analytics dashboard, but the signal is observable in reach patterns: posts with high read-completion rates (estimated from scroll behavior) consistently outperform shorter posts at the same engagement rate.
