Q3 2026, paired with the multi-user / team-seat rollout. The approval flow only makes sense when multiple humans are involved, so it ships alongside the team-collaboration features.
What Slack plan do I need?+
Slack Free works for the basic approval flow. Slack Pro is needed only if you want to retain the approval history beyond 90 days (Slack Free archives older messages). Approval functionality itself works on all plans.
Can I use Slack for failure alerts without the approval flow?+
Yes — once the integration ships, you can pick any subset of features. Failure alerts only is a valid configuration. The approval workflow is the largest feature, but failure alerts + daily-digest are independently useful.
Will the Slack integration use Slack's threaded replies for approvals?+
Yes. Each draft posts as a main message; the approval ✅ / ❌ reactions live on that message. Comments and edits happen in the message's thread, keeping the approval audit log clean.
